Farewell, Uncle Kyle

My brother Kyle left on his mission this week (Jan. 2) to Moscow, Russia. Before my parents dropped him off at the MTC, we all went out to breakfast at Village Inn.

Emily loves her Uncle Kyle so much. He is so good with all the nieces and nephews. He is always the first one to hold the babies and play with the toddlers. He's always playing little games with Emily and Rivers or giving them food or teaching them to do/say silly things.

He is also the best babysitter. We are going to miss him so much. Ever since he left, Emily keeps asking where Kyle is. It's crazy to think that Emmy and Rivers will be 4 1/2 when he comes home, and Zach will be Emily's age!

We will have to get Emily a picture of Uncle Kyle and help her write him lots of letters so she doesn't forget him. We have also been praying for "Uncle Kyle on his mission" in her prayers every night. We didn't even get to go to the MTC because they just have you drop off the missionary at the curb now, and only the car with the missionary in it gets to go. I wish Emmy would have been able to see him go into the MTC instead of just saying goodbye to him at the Village Inn. Oh well.

Here is Zach waving goodbye to Kyle. He is wearing his favorite uncle shirt for the occasion.

Anyway, even though we will miss him greatly, we are proud of Kyle and I know he will be a great missionary!
