The rest of June

In June, Emmy had her dance recital. She begged and begged around Christmastime to take ballet class. After 2 weeks, she wanted to quit. I made her stay until the recital. She really didn't like dance too much, but at least now we know!

We were proud of her for performing even though she didn't want to.

We took a trip to the beach of course.

And plenty of swimming! These children LOVE to swim!

I went to Rexburg for an online faculty conference. It was windy!

It was also like a luxury vacation. I got to be by myself for 3 days. In my own hotel room. Of course, the meetings and classes I went to were awesome, and I'm so glad I get to be a part of it.

When we were in Utah, Zach kept saying he didn't want to wear diapers. I was not about to potty train him on vacation, but he kept his diaper dry for several days and kept asking for undies. So we got him some and he did great the rest of the trip. He only had 2 accidents the entire time we were there. Then as soon as we got back to California, he has refused to go in the toilet. Grrr!

Kindergarten graduate!

I can't believe Emmy is done with kindergarten. It has been such a fun year! I'm excited for summer, but I'm sad kindergarten is over. She has had the most amazing teacher, and they have done so many fun things.

Here she is all ready to go to the last day of school!
They had field day, a picnic, and  kindergarten celebration on the last day. I got to help out the whole day!
Here they are at their picnic.

They put on an adorable little program.

How cute are they in their flower heads?!! They sang a song about how they were flowers growing in a garden.

Then their teacher had them each come up individually and she read a "story" about each of them. She talked about what they were good at and what was important about them. It was darling. Then she showed a slideshow of pictures of all the fun things they've done this year. And she made them each a personalized memory book. No wonder they all ran up to hug her!

She made this adorable photo backdrop. These are Emmy's 2 best friends from her kindergarten class. I'm so happy she's made friends at school. I hope she gets into the same 1st grade class with them!

Class of 2028????!!!!

And here is her amazing teacher, Mrs. Woodruff. Seriously, we lucked out in the teacher department. Since we had just moved here last year, I had no idea who to request for her teacher, but I'm SO glad Emily got put in Mrs. Woodruff's class. We could not have asked for a better teacher for her. I can't say enough about how great she is. Not only did she do such cute things with the kids all year long, but you could tell she loves them so much.

More cute pictures with her friends!

She saw some kids at school with candy leis and really wanted one. I made her one later that day after school and for dinner we had a "last day of school celebration" with pizza, cupcakes, and the candy lei!
Love my little kindergarten grad!

June

Emmy and her friend on twins day at school.

Our neighbors brought us Italian chocolate for pool sitting.

The kids earned their swingset by doing 500 nice things. It took them about 2/.5 months. They were so excited when it was delivered that they set out their chairs and watched the guy unload it. Ha!

They were almost as excited to play on the boxes as they were to play on the actual set.

Zach is obsessed with cereal. He wants to eat it for every meal. In the blue bowl. Sometimes he tries to get it himself and we end up with this.

I saw this in Emmy's room one day. Ha!

When it was time to set up the swingset, Emmy was so excited she couldn't even get dressed. She pulled on some boots with her nightgown and called it good. She puts those boots on every morning and goes out and plays.

Enjoying their hard-earned swingset!

One of my former BYUSA students got married and had an open house in the mountains not far from us. It was fun to be able to go! I love my BYUSA students so much and I miss working with them. It's so fun to see all the amazing things they're doing. Plus, it was 100 degrees that day, so going up to the mountains to cool off was nice.

I went on a field trip with Emily's class to the fire station. We walked there.

So cute!
