Spoiled

This Valentine's Day was the best ever! I felt so spoiled. Matt spoiled me the whole day long and I loved every minute of it. In the morning, he gave me a Snuggie. It's because I'm always cold and walk around the house with a blanket wrapped around me. Now I can use my hands and still be wrapped up! And it's just hilarious!

And it makes me look like a Jedi. He also got me some super cute Mickey PJ pants and some chocolate dipped strawberries and a gift certificate for a massage! Spoiled!

I got him a Sugar Bowl champion Tshirt.

We made Valentines for each other later in the day. It was so much fun. I love how hard Matt is concentrating in this picture.

And then he got me these pretty flowers. I love those big tiger lilies!

We wanted to do something a little different for our Valentine's Day date, so we donned our western wear and headed off to the Showtime Utah Old West Dinner Theater. It was a blast!

We had a chuckwagon dutch oven dinner of pulled pork & BBQ chicken, baked potatoes, corn and biscuits. It was great.

While we ate, we were serenaded by a lovely bluegrass band. They were awesome! There was also a dance floor up front and so people could get up and dance when they felt so inclined.

There was also an old west show with a sherriff, an outlaw, a saloon girl, and a deputy. It was very interactive with the audience so we were whooping and hollering along with them.

Some of the audience members got to be "can-can girls". It was hilarious! Anyway, it was really fun.

These were our dining partners. They were awesome. The old guy in the hat was wearing this awesome bird shirt with a bolo tie and suspenders. He was pretty stuffy most of the night, but then he made a few really funny comments that were totally unexpected. The guy sitting by Matt was hilarious. His girlfriend had flown in from LA for Valentines Day, and they were totally getting into the whole old west thing. As we were talking to them, it turns out that this guy composes music for TV. He did the music for Saved by the Bell, Seinfeld, and a bunch of others. He was telling us that last year he composed the music for the Super Bowl at home in Lehi in his PJs. It was so great!
I would definately reccommend this place....it was fantastic.

Matt was pouting a little bit because we kept trying to take a good picture of us, but they kept not turning out very well.

This is the best one we got. (out of like 12 attempts.) Anyway, it was a rip-roarin' good Valentine's Day! I'm such a lucky girl!

Cool you went to Showtime but what a total bummer that you went on Saturday!! I'm Miss Andie in the Friday show and it would have been so fun to have seen you there (and the Friday night band is a lot better--my personal preference of course). Glad you had a great time.

Don't you love your Snuggie?!!? I adore mine - our husbands are too cute! When I told Shawn that Matt got you one also he was sad that they hadn't gone in on it together to get a better discount! Silly boys!
