Just some random everyday moments!
Emmy loves to color on this coloring app Matt downloaded for the tablet. So does Zach.
Zach has turned into quite the little climber. He was so proud of himself for getting up there.
One day Emmy was dancing around with this bear and singing. It was pretty cute.
And then she gave the bear a checkup.
Bedtime stories. Emmy thinks that now that she's 4, she needs 4 books at bedtime.
Zach loves to drop these frisbees on the kitchen floor and listen to the sounds they make. He used to do this when he was younger too.
And nothing like having a dinner of chicken nuggets on the laundry room floor. That was a long day.

Dress ups!
When the Ogden Temple was rededicated a few weeks ago, we did a babysitting swap with our neighbors so Matt and I could go together. When the McDonald kids came over to our house while their parents went to the dedication, they had a blast playing dress ups!
They kept changing outfits and wanting us to take pictures of them in each one.
What sillies!
It was a fun time! And it was really nice to be able to go to the dedication together!

Singing in the rain!
We had a couple of good rainstorms a few weeks ago. Emmy and her friend really wanted to go play in the rain one day. They had a blast! They ran and sang and jumped and splashed.
Of course Emmy was wearing her wonder woman cape and her friend was wearing a Snow White dress.
Then they came in and said they needed hats and mittens, and proceeded to go back out and jump in the gutter.

Lakes, mountains, and farms
One Sunday afternoon we took a drive up to Silver Lake. The kids had fun climbing and exploring!
We also went to Wheeler Farm another day. Zach had the time of his life being able to wander around and see the animals! It was the first time I didn't bring the stroller for him, and he loved it!
They especially loved the goats. I love it when outings go well. Because sometimes they are a disaster! Like when we went to the aquarium last week and Zach just screamed the whole time!

Primary program
Our Primary program was on September 28, and it went really well! I was really nervous about how it would all go over because I've never done this before and I assigned myself to write the whole thing. I wanted to though. I wrote it back in July, revised it with input from my counselors in August, and then we practiced, practiced, practiced during September. Our theme in Primary this year was "Families Are Forever" so I based the program on the Proclamation to the Family.
Some kids read parts of the Proclamation. Some gave talks on aspects of the Proclamation, some gave short testimonies, and we had 2 classes give a group scripture, and we had a family who was recently sealed in our ward give their testimony of the temple.
It was wonderful! The kids that wrote their own parts did awesome, they all sang really well, and it just was great! I'm relieved it's over and so proud of them for bringing the Spirit!

Raspberry pickin!
A couple of weeks ago, the kids and I headed to McBride's Briar patch in Mapleton to pick some raspberries. It was the cutest little patch! The owners were super nice and Emmy LOVED it! Mr. McBride tied a little bucket around Emmy's waist and showed her how to pick the raspberries, and she got right to work.
Every 2 minutes or so, she would yell out, "Mom! Come look how many I have now!" And then she would want to look in my bucket to see how many I had. Then she would say, "And Zach doesn't have any!"
Zach pretty much just whined until someone fed him a raspberry. What a stinker!
Emily worked very hard and filled up her whole bucket! Between the two of us, we picked about 3.5 lbs of raspberries. They were delicious!
We can't wait to go back next year!

Mommy-daughter date
Emily and I went to the BYU vs. Virgina game together. It was fun! Emmy did really well. She lasted about 3 quarters and then said she was done. As we were driving to Provo, I told her to look for a letter on the mountain. When she saw the Y, she exclaimed, "Mom! I see it! It's a letter in my name!" Then when we could see the stadium, she said, "Mom! I see the football game!"
I told her that she could yell as loud as she wanted at the game, and she did! I kept telling her different cheers to yell, and she yelled to her heart's content. It was a fun time with my Emmy!
