Just another day at the Livelys

Gotta love when they're both throwing fits at the same time. Over markers.

Emmy goes to the dentist

Emmy had her first dentist appointment last week. I was really nervous for how she would handle it. I prepped her for it all week, and she kept insisting that she did not want to go. So I figured it would be a disaster.

Emmy watched while I had my teeth done and then when it was her turn, she actually did great! The hygenist showed her all the tools and explained everything really well. And Emmy did awesome! I was so proud of her.

And now, she asks me if it's time to brush her teeth yet instead of fighting me about it every day!

A birthday card for Auntie

It was Auntie Melissa's birthday last week and Emmy wanted to make her a card. She insisted on drawing a picture of Melissa on the card. This is how it turned out...

I was dying laughing. Emmy worked so hard on it and kept saying, here's her hair, and here's her shoes, etc. She was so proud of her drawing and the card.

St. Paddy's Day

It was my turn to do preschool the week of St. Paddy's Day! We had so much fun! I love St. Paddy's so it was fun to put some festive things together for the girls. We did "clover stamping" with green peppers and paint. (If you cut the pepper in half and use it as a stamp, it looks like a clover!)

We had a treasure hunt. Here they are listening for the first clue! And wearing their leprachaun hats. This was so fun. The girls were so excited to run to find the next clue.

I had told the girls that a leprachaun had come to our house and left them a treasure with some clues. One of the girls kept saying, "Wow, that's so cool!" It was hilarious. Here they are with their treat!

After preschool was over, Emmy kept hiding random papers around the house and telling me to go find them. I went on about 12 treasure hunts that day.

We had some green snacks and drank out of leprachaun cups.

We also made rainbows out of pipe cleaners and played some "leprachaun games". It was a lot of fun. It's so much more fun to do preschool on a holiday!

Oh these children

Just some random stuff that's been keeping me on my toes... Zach was so proud of himself for finding the cereal box, dumping out the cereal and proceeding to eat it. The funniest part was that he was licking up the crumbs. Ha!

The kids are loving that they can play outside more often these days. Emily has even enjoyed playing with one of the neighbor girls. She even asks if she can come over and play. This is major progress!

Zach was loving playing ball!

Zach just chowing on a muffin.

And reading some books.

Emily and Rivers had a movie night and watched Jungle Book. Emily was feeding Rivers the popcorn. This lasted for about 3 minutes until they jumped up and started running around again.

Zach is walking!

Zach is finally starting to walk (at 16 1/2 months). It's so cute how he toddles around.

Emmy's Self-Imposed Haircut

Emily gave herself a haircut the other day while I was giving Zach a bath.  You can't really see from the picture, but she had quite the femullet going on.

This was after she did it.

So I had to take her to get it "fixed". I almost cried. I really don't love the bangs and it's super short.

At least hair grows back.

On a happier note, we went to Smith's the other day and they had these adorable little carts. Emmy was ecstatic that she got to push her very own cart. (Although she kept putting things in her cart that I had to put back.)

And, she earned enough stickers on her chart that she got to go to Build-A-Bear (and I had a 50% off coupon that was about to expire). She was so excited about the pony she chose.
